This Ngai Tahu Pounamu Toki Necklace is crafted from genuine New Zealand greenstone, making it an authentic and meaningful piece of jewellery.

The 7cm (2 3/4') toki pendant is a traditional Maori symbol of strength and authority. So it is a wonderful piece of jewellery to give to someone special in your life.

The wonderful extra you get with this necklace is a Ngai Tahu certificate of authenticity, and on that certificate is a unique code you enter into a website, to find out what type of pounamu your necklace is made from, who made your necklace, and details, including a photo, of the rock your necklace was made from.

Ngai Tahu are the kaitiaki of pounamu.

The pictured toki are made from Hapopo pounamu. Over time, they may be made from other types of greenstone, but they will all be Ngai Tahu pounamu. The third photo shows you a little bit of the variation you can find in one piece of greenstone rock.
